We bought this for our 5 ; 6 year olds, and for the price it's been a fun toy. We set it up in our basement, and the kids play with it whenever Dad watches the hocky game on TV. Mom and Dad try to get down on the ground with the kids and play sometimes too, but we usually end up playing on our knees because the sticks are so short. I wouldn't recommend it for kids much older than this because the set is on the smaller side.
Well made and lots of fun. Our kids take skating lessons and go to NHL hockey games. So this is a great way to channel that excitement and energy at home. These can take the abuse and should last for years to come. Fun for parents, too. I am admittedly not the tallest person, but it is no problem to just bend over (going down to my knees would probably hurt more).
We purchased on sale at the local sporting goods store (Sports Authority, I think) for fifteen dollars, and Target sells it for twenty.
Each set comes with the net, one right-handed stick, one left-handed stick, and two balls. We found that certain bottle caps (like from Ensure drinks) work well as pucks.
NOTE: If you are starting from scratch and want two nets, this looks like an even better deal:
